Rewards & recognition
The real reward in Locatour is the experience of being somewhere worth remembering. But the game also recognises your exploring in a few satisfying ways.

Experience and levels
Section titled “Experience and levels”Every check-in earns experience that moves you up the levels and unlocks more of the map. It’s the backbone of the whole game — see Levels, tiers & progression.
The Nearby alerts bonus
Section titled “The Nearby alerts bonus”Switching on Nearby alerts earns you a permanent +20% points bonus on every check-in — and it stacks with the first-find discovery bonus. It’s the single most effective way to boost your points over time, on top of the ambient discovery the alerts themselves bring.
Streaks
Section titled “Streaks”Check in regularly and you build a streak — a run of consecutive days spent exploring. Streaks are a gentle nudge to keep the habit going; missing a day resets it, so there’s always a reason to get out the door.
Achievements
Section titled “Achievements”As you play, you’ll unlock achievements — milestones that celebrate the breadth and depth of your exploring: your first check-in, visiting a variety of categories, reaching new tiers, hitting streak milestones, and plenty more to discover along the way.
Your history
Section titled “Your history”Every check-in is saved to your personal history, complete with the photo you took. It becomes a map of your adventures — a scrapbook of everywhere Locatour has taken you, and one of the nicest things to scroll back through.
A note on rewards
Section titled “A note on rewards”Locatour’s rewards are about recognition and memories, not prizes or purchases. The points, levels, streaks, and achievements exist to mark your journey and keep it fun — the payoff is the places themselves.
