Delete Your Account & Data
Effective date: 29 June 2026
Locatour gives you a way to permanently delete your account and all of your data, directly from within the app. This page explains how, and what is removed — it is also the public deletion request URL referenced in our Google Play Data Safety declaration.
Delete your account in the app (recommended)
Section titled “Delete your account in the app (recommended)”- Open Locatour and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. The action is immediate and irreversible.
You don’t need to contact us — this removes everything below straight away.
Request deletion without the app
Section titled “Request deletion without the app”If you can no longer access the app (for example, you’ve uninstalled it), email support@hatchet.com.au from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days, and confirm by email when it’s done.
What gets deleted
Section titled “What gets deleted”Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following — there is no recovery and no grace period:
- Your account (name, email, and the identifier linking you to your Google sign-in)
- All of your check-ins, including the photos you took
- Your achievements, points, level, and tier
- Your unlocked and discovered locations
- Any account flags or moderation records tied to your account
- Your authentication sessions (you are signed out everywhere)
Data held only on your device is also wiped when you delete from within the app.
What may remain
Section titled “What may remain”- Aggregated, anonymised statistics that are not linked to you as an individual (for example, total visits to a public location) may be retained, as they contain no personal information.
- Community location suggestions you submitted are kept so the places you helped add stay on the map, but they are de-identified — the link to your account is removed when you delete it.
- We may retain limited records where the law requires us to (for example, to comply with a legal obligation). Where this applies, the data is kept only as long as necessary and then deleted.
